THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Environmental Services Assistant to work across both our kitchen and domestic services at Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness to all areas of the hospital. You will also be working across our face-paced catering team responsible for all meal preparation and delivery across the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres
  • Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas
  • Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
  • Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved
  • Setting of patient meal trays and serving our patients throughout the Hospital whilst maintaining hygienic food practices.
  • Washing up and maintaining a clean working area and following safety practices.
  • Assisting the broader team as required
  • Stock management
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning (05.30 am starts) and afternoon (8pm finish) shifts

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospital environment but not essential.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
  • Have experience in cleaning services
  • Be a team player and love to work within a large team
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
