The Environmental Services Coordinator is responsible for inspecting and cleaning various areas across the yard to conform to standards of quality in untreated and treated material, preservatives, and treating specifications. This role is performed primarily outdoors, requiring the incumbent to work in all weather conditions and be comfortable with physically demanding tasks. The Coordinator is also responsible for the coordination of various waste disposal activities and the ongoing organization of these areas.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct overall yard inspections, document Best Management Practices (BMP), and clean drip pads and treated storage areas outside in the elements
  • Manage hazardous waste satellite drums, including moving full drums to the 90-day accumulation area and redeploying labeled satellite drums, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
  • Maintain the 90-day accumulation area in compliance with hazardous waste rules (aisle space, labeling, housekeeping, etc.) as specified by company and regulatory standards
  • Perform monthly water level measurements and record readings from on-site monitoring wells, frequently in varying weather conditions
  • Maintain, clean, and keep records for all required catch basin inserts, with regular outdoor activity
  • Monitor and clean storm water treatment system influent pump inlet screens
  • Coordinate DMR (treated wood) disposal
  • Coordinate compactor waste (non-hazardous) disposal
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality; allow for flexible availability to accommodate varied work schedules, as needed
  • Conduct compliance audits for all assigned satellite accumulation areas
  • Participate in and contribute to the company safety program
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
