Job Title: Environmental Services Manager
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Contract: Permanent
Location: Homebased (North West)
Weekly Hours: 40 (8am – 4.30pm)
SO…. WHAT IS THIS ROLE EXACTLY?
This is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Manager to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division, in order to support the Contract Manager in managing the delivery and subcontractor management of ground maintenance, tree works, communal cleaning, pest control, clearance and flytipping for Group properties.
While this role will be based from home, you may be expected to start work from other YHG offices such as Gilmour House in Manchester.
It is a great time to join this team as we are looking for someone not only with grounds maintenance experience but with an interest in expanding other inhouse environmental services in order to increase customer satisfaction and value for money.
We are looking for someone who prioritising H&S at the forefront of all operations, can lead motivate, and engage with a team to deliver a high-quality service and can monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure a quality service is provided and any under performance addressed appropriately.
WHAT WILL I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOING?
First and foremost, you will prioritise H&S at the forefront of all operations as well as ensuring works are effectively prioritised, planned and carried out to standard, agreed frequencies, timescales and budget, ensuring adherence with regulatory and statutory requirements and Repairs and Maintenance policies and compliance frameworks. You will monitor all environmental services subcontractors and build relationships with them, complete pre and post work inspections for the inhouse and subcontractor teams along with providing analysis and solutions of where improvements can be made.
One of the great things about this role is that it is varied and so training will be provided when needed.
You will need to be able to address and resolve customer complaints, so be proficient in using Microsoft Word, communicating to customers and writing letters, ensure accurate records are maintained using appropriate systems and databases, provide information to key stakeholders as required and conduct regular reviews of your service area.
