Responsible for the efficient operation of daily housekeeping, laundry, sewing needs and assigned environmental services. * Providing quality housekeeping and cleaning services as needed and assigned.  * Perform the responsibilities of your position with an emphasis on safety, goodwill and public relations. * Ensure that all bedroom, bathrooms and public spaces throughout the entire Center at Donaldson are fully stocked with essential sundry items as assigned. * Interact with all those who work, visit or live, at The Center at Donaldson in a professional and friendly manner. * Maintains a clean environment to ensure a professional appearance of all office and meeting space for the Motherhouse, Lindenwood, the Villa and CKLC when assigned. * Actively participate in the training for emergency procedures as assigned.  * Assure that the established quality expectations are achieved. * Participate in utilizing Total Quality Management processes when appropriate and assigned.   * Maintain proper inventory of supplies and restock materials as needed. * Iron and mend or provide personal clothing, drapes, and linens as assigned.  * Lead improvement efforts utilizing Total Quality Management processes and appropriate corrective action when quality is not achieved. * Monitors and assures that all Center at Donaldson buildings, bathrooms, bedrooms, apartments and public spaces are kept in an orderly and clean fashion to demonstrate the utmost in comfortable and professional appearance. * Perform and assist in assigned duties such as, but not limited to bed stripping and making, linen sorting, laundering and folding, sweeping floors and furniture, dusting all surfaces, washing windows, walls ceilings and floor, thereby creating an environment that reflects pride in your work accomplishments.   SPECIFICATIONS Prior Education and Training:   * High school or GED preferred. Previous housekeeping experience may substitute for formal education.    Prior Work Experience/Skills Required: * General neatness, cleanliness, friendliness and the ability to follow directions are necessary. * Previous housekeeping experience a plus [but not required]. * Position requires frequent ability to relate to others. * Position requires good written and verbal communication skills as well as reasoning, math and language skills. * Position requires occasional ability to make independent judgments. On-the-Job Training/Orientation Required: * Minimum of 2 months orientation on the job. * Flexibility to adapt to changing in-house procedures. * Completion of new co-worker orientation. Environmental Conditions: * Works with normal cleaning agents, which could expose Co-Worker to fumes, odors, or harm. * Bending, stooping, twisting, and long periods of time on ones feet are all part of this position. * Ability to push housekeeping equipment such as, but not limited to, mops, sweepers, rug shampoo machines etc. * Could possibly be exposed to blood borne pathogens under certain circumstances. * Climbing ladders and lifting 20 pounds for a short distance. * Position requires some exposure to dust, fumes and gases * Position requires continuous standing, walking and pushing/pulling as well as frequent bending and reaching. * Position requires occasional crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling. * Position requires frequent pushing/pulling of up to 100 lbs. * Position requires lifting of up to 10 lbs frequently and 25 lbs occasionally, * Position requires lifting overhead of up to 10 lbs occasionally. * Position requires good visual acuity. Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: * General housekeeping equipment and cleaning agents.   6:00am-2:30pm Monday through Friday. Holidays and rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
Maintains a clean and orderly environment for residents and guests through housekeeping, laundry, and sewing services. Ensures all public spaces and bedrooms are stocked and professional in appearance while following safety protocols.
