Job Description Performs basic activities related to housekeeping, light maintenance and upkeep of physical facility and resident transportation. Essential Functions · Performs routine maintenance under the supervision of the maintenance manager. · Manages small painting and redecorating projects. · Conducts and documents routine inspection of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems. · Maintains weekly facility log of domestic hot water temperature, generator checklist, monthly fire alarm system testing and sprinkler pressure, for survey and safety compliance. · Regularly inspects building and grounds, and reports identified areas for maintenance to the Maintenance Manager. · Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts. Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility. Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area. Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers. Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts. Transports residents to appointments as a back-up van driver Other Functions Performs other tasks as assigned. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff. Knowledge of infection control techniques. Ability to be patient and polite. Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses/Certification None required. Experience Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
