Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and inviting environment for the benefit of all patients, visitors and staff. Disinfects patient care areas with the goal of limiting the spread of pathogens and preventing hospital acquired infections. Contributes to efficient patient throughput by cleaning rooms in a timely manner. Works both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications Education• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate upon hire or transfer into position required or• General Education Development (GED) obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into position required. Failure to obtain the GED within 1 year will result in termination of employment. Experience• 3 months of experience working in a customer service environment required• Environmental services experience in a hospital environment preferred Note: Incumbents hired into position prior to March 19, 2019 are grandfathered with their existing educational degrees Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
