Wellfound is hiring a Per Diem Environmental Services Tech to join our team. position is variable hours and days. Must be able to multiple days of the week. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position information: As an Environmental Services tech, you will assist where necessary in order to provide the hospital with a clean and sanitary environment, including patient care areas, administrative areas, and floors. Duties: · Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment. · Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment. · Dispose of all medical waste, (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation. · Use computer to update EPIC as primary tool for tracking of individual progress of all work completed throughout the day. · Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work. · Follow HIPAA and Privacy laws Union Membership As a condition of employment, you must join the SEIU Union within thirty (30) calendar days of employment and remain a member in good standing of the Union, unless you submit and are approved for a religious exemption. We offer competitive pay and benefits: * Hourly: $18.04 - $33.45 an hour + 15% per diem rate (rates based on experience on the union contract) * Shift Differentials: * Nights: $2.00 * Weekends: $1.25 * Employee Assistance Program up on hire * 403B with discretionary match for those that participate in the plan and meet work requirements * Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date. What We Require Certification: * Heart Saver or Basic Life Support (BLS) card through American Heart Association or Red Cross required to start Experience: * Minimum one year experience in house keeping * Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day * Experience in a health care setting preferred
