Shift Time: 7a-3:30p Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts orientation and training of new staff. Participates and conducts cleaning inspections. Assist or lead departmental projects as needed. May assume charge role in the absence of the Lead or Supervisor. Cleans and maintains various floors surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate etc. Performs floor care using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manual operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing of floors. Apply wax and other floor care products under the guidance of EVS Leadership. Cleans, polishes furniture/fixtures in assigned areas and arranges furniture and/or equipment as directed. Dispose of biochemical waste in accordance with policy and procedures. Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops, and/or wet mops. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Extensive environmental services or custodial experience. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50-75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
