Job Title: Environmental Services Tech I- Behavioral Heath Urgent Care (BHUC)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) facility. This position ensures that all areas, including client care spaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas, meet cleanliness and infection control standards. The Environmental Service Worker plays a vital role in supporting the safety, comfort, and overall wellness of clients, staff, and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or janitorial work preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment usage.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Understanding of infection control and safety procedures preferred.
TRAVEL
Minimal travel required. Occasional travel to community partner agencies, trainings, or off-site meetings may occur.

JOB DUTIES:
40% - Clean and sanitize all BHUC areas including client rooms, waiting areas, offices, and restrooms
20% - Follow infection control procedures and maintain cleaning logs per facility policy
15% - Dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and recyclables in compliance with safety regulations
10% - Restock cleaning supplies, soap, paper products, and other sanitary items
5% - Assist in setting up and breaking down rooms for client services or meetings
5% - Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor immediately
5% - Participate in safety drills, training, and compliance inspections
