OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, with expertise in various environmental regulations and compliance. This role involves working on projects related to water resources, environmental remediation, and permitting, ensuring that all activities align with federal and state laws. The Environmental Specialist will ensure manufacturing site is conducting testing, submitting timely and accurate reporting to governmental agencies as well as ensure compliance.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of water resources management and wastewater treatment processes in the manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of environmental remediation techniques in the manufacturing environment.
• Experience with data collection methodologies relevant to environmental studies.
• A solid foundation in mechanical knowledge as it pertains to environmental systems.
• Understanding of EPA regulations and standards related to environmental compliance.
• Background in environmental engineering or related fields is preferred. Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Manage projects related to water treatment, wastewater treatment, and environmental remediation.
• Collect and analyze data related to environmental conditions and project impacts.
• Prepare reports on findings and recommendations based on research and data collection.
• Ensure adherence to environmental law throughout project lifecycles.
• Perform weekly and monthly inspections and annotate data results.
• Maintain all environmental licenses (Air, Storm, Water, Sewer and Hazardous Materials) and keep up with regulatory requirements for each license. Perform data reporting and audit ability to support each license.
• Follow and track due dates for reports for each license and renewals.
• Manage Manufacturing Site Plant Trash Roll Offs / Dumpsters & Recycling.
• Handle all hazardous, non-hazardous waste shipments, training and documentation related to each shipment per 49 CFR (transportation of hazardous materials over public highways).
• Provide SID/NPDES Water Permit Support, Title V - Air Permit Support, Waste Management Support, ISO 14001 Audit Support and support for SPCC Plan Monthly Inspections. Experience in performing these tasks required.
• Assist the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department as it relates to proper usage of PPE, investigations, data collection and document control revisions and LDAR Contractor Management.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food Safety Guidelines and all SOPs set forth by the company.
• Must understand written and verbal instructions and/or procedures that may be provided.
• Engage in continuous learning about emerging trends in environmental consulting and compliance.
