Become part of a dynamic team working on a large-scale, cutting-edge CO2 transportation, distribution and sequestration project that is shaping the future of sustainable energy! As an Environmental Student, you’ll collaborate with environmental and regulatory experts to coordinate field studies, prepare submissions, analyze data for reports, and ensure our projects align with community and regulatory standards. You’ll also play a key role in Indigenous consultation and stakeholder engagement efforts, keep an eye on regulatory developments, and support project management tasks. This is your chance to contribute to something big while gaining invaluable experience!

  • Job location: Calgary, AB with occasional field visits as required
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
  • Term lengths: 8 or 12 months
  • Term starts: January or May 2026
  • Safety sensitive position: No

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with regulatory and environmental professionals to prepare submissions for amendments, authorizations, and notifications
  • Compile, analyze, and contribute to reports that drive major projects forward
  • Play a key role in Indigenous consultation and engagement efforts - ensuring our projects align with community needs and regulatory requirements
  • Keep your finger on the pulse by monitoring regulatory publications and reviewing project decisions, helping the team stay ahead of the curve
  • Support Project Engineers by managing requests from partners and external stakeholders and help track team member hours
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Science or related program
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products is considered an asset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
  • Required to be physically and mentally fit for work
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract
  • A pre-employment drug screening test must be successfully completed
