Environmental Supervisors are involved with managing the requirement of environmental regulations in an organization. The main responsibility is to make sure that the environmental regulations are in compliance with the standardized format of environmental health and safety regulation. SUMMARY Under general direction, the Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes supervising staff, managing schedules, training, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of CES. • Supervises housekeeping staff and daily cleaning operations. • Trains new employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols. • Conducts routine inspections of resident's rooms, common areas, and workspaces. • Ensures proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies. • Maintains inventory and orders supplies as needed. • Assists with cleaning duties as needed to support the team. • Reports safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly. • Ensures compliance with infection control and safety standards. • Schedules and coordinatesterminal/detailed cleaning projects. • Provides performance feedback and participates in evaluations. • Cooperates with other team members to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives. • Fulfills additional duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Two years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare or similar setting. Previous supervisory experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Knowledge of environmental services and infection control practices. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks effectively. • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. • Ability to handle difficult situations involving residents, team members, and guests in a professional manner. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS • Physically demanding, high-stress environment • Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, and chemicals • Pushing and pulling heavy objects • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting • Position requires light to moderate work • Position requires reaching, bending, and stooping
