Description

Roles and Responsibilities: Develops, presents and explains proposals, reports, and findings to management.
· Monitors new regulations, legislation and permits for above assigned area(s) of responsibility. Analyzes and assesses potential impact to company operations. Develops, implements, and audits cost-effective methods for compliance with requirements.
· Creates process sheets and work instructions detailing specific requirements to ensure a high level of environmental performance in plant operations. Determines necessary actions, communicates such to affected departments, and audits conformance to requirements.
· Creates environmental training content and conducts training sessions for internal and external environmental education and awareness campaigns.
· Completes environmental compliance reporting requirements for above assigned area(s) of responsibility. Collects appropriate data, completes accurate calculations, and prepares timely reports for submittal to regulatory agencies.
· Maintains client environmental website and IT application development related to above assigned area(s) of responsibility.
· Obtains environmental data, develops and conducts required calculations, prepares and submits permit applications for above assigned area(s) of responsibility.
· Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving. Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
· Performs other duties as assigned by client Operations Supervisor
Experience and Education: 6 months of internship/co-op experience (preferred).
BA/BS degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry or equivalent of 4 years of related experience in environmental compliance and reporting for a complex industrial manufacturing operation.
Licenses and/or Certifications: ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor (preferred).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
