What you’ll be doing

REPORTING TO THE BALFOUR BEATTY ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR ON THE FOLLOWING KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Provide pragmatic advice and site support to operational teams on environmentalsustainability l requirements.
  • Develop and support implementation of environmental sustainability management plans.
  • Build relationships with regulators, clients and design teams, and internal teams.
  • Support site compliance with environmental sustainability legislation and coach construction teams in applying controls and mitigations in pragmatic, cost-effective ways.
  • Investigate and report environmental sustainability incidents
    Who we’re looking for

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:

  • Knowledge of ecological management and mitigation
  • Educated to degree or Masters level in environmental sustainability or related subject
  • Good understanding of ecological legalisation for development
  • Full driver’s licence and flexibility to travel
  • An understanding of environmental management for construction sites
  • An understanding of the utilities/construction/engineering operating environment
  • Literate in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills

THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE ARE DESIRABLE:

  • IEMA/IES/CIWEM Membership
  • Experience of working on large scale infrastructure construction projects
