We are seeking an entry level Environmental Technician to join our construction environmental monitoring team in our New Westminster office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Recent graduate of a 2-year accredited diploma or a degree program in applied science, engineering technology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Previous training, coursework and work experience (e.g., co-op’s) in environmental monitoring, sampling, and reporting in BC.

OTHER ASSETS/SKILLS

  • Eligible to apply for Applied Science Technologist (AScT) designation within 6-12 months.
  • Willingness to work long hours and in inclement outdoor weather conditions.
  • Vehicle is required to drive to various sites.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working on or near water and in variable weather conditions.
  • Ability to thrive in remote or field-based environments.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and adaptable mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data integrity and safety.
  • Valid driver’s license with eligibility for coverage under Hatfield’s corporate insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in field investigations and construction monitoring programs and reporting.
  • Support preparation of permit applications and related documentation.
  • Conduct literature and data reviews.
  • Assist with data analysis and interpretation.
