Description

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking multiple Environmental Technicians to join our team at the Volvo Car Factory located in Ridgeville, SC. These individuals will be responsible for handling and processing production by-product waste to include but not limited to; solid, recyclable, and hazardous/non-hazardous material. Shift Details: Shift: 1st Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 2:40 pm. Responsibilities and Job Duties: * Collect trash, recyclables, scrap metal and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal. * Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to off-site destination facilities. * Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use. * Assist supervisor with response to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids and containerizing cleaned up materials for proper disposal. * Assist Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick up and waste organization. * Document and inform Project Manager of any contamination in plant recycling and waste containers. * Maintain necessary documentation of waste inventories, inspections and other activities as required. * Operate fork truck to load/unload trucks. * Operate Burden carriers. * Follow all plant-related safety guidelines. * Sort and bale recyclable material. Requirements and Qualifications: * Minimum of one-year experience in waste management. * High School Diploma or GED. * Must be able to pass a background check. * Must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

Technicians will be responsible for collecting, processing, and transporting various production by-product wastes, including solid, recyclable, and hazardous/non-hazardous materials throughout the plant. Duties also involve loading shipments, performing daily equipment inspections, and assisting with chemical spill responses and documentation.
