Description Southwest Galvanizing, Inc. is looking for an Environmental Technician with a flexible schedule that MUST be willing to work Night Shift 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM. We are looking for a hard worker that is willing to learn. Will train on day shift until ready to work night shift on your own. Must be organized and be able to get the job done with little supervision Must work in a fast-paced environment, possess critical thinking skills, and able to multitask. Effective verbal and written communication skills Must work with/understand pneumatic pumps, valves, plumbing Must be able to work in a dusty, dirty work environment Work handling hazardous waste profiles Operate overhead cranes Chemical testing in acid tanks Run Acid Recovery Unit Run MZR (zinc recycling) machines Manage/add highly corrosive chemicals Light record keeping Requirements Must have high awareness of safety (wear PPE) Heavy lifting required Steel toe boots required Bilingual is highly preferred Must be able to pass E-Verify Drug test and physical required if hired

Responsibilities

The Environmental Technician will work in a fast-paced environment handling hazardous waste, operating machinery, and performing chemical testing. They will also be responsible for maintaining safety protocols and managing corrosive chemicals.
