Description Sustainment & Restoration Services (SRS) is an 8(a) firm that provides engineering, science, construction, munitions, and specialized professional services solutions for customers nationwide. SRS has an immediate opening for an Environmental Technician at Arnold AFB. Key Responsibilities: Primary operator of various groundwater treatment plants onsite at Arnold AFB. Monitor SCADA system in plant and remotely (online) and perform timely reporting on all plant operational metrics. Perform troubleshooting response to alarms and potential equipment malfunctions. Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Perform general housekeeping tasks including tank cleaning, oversight of contactors, equipment inventory, and procurement. Prepare treatment plant operational reports for the Project Manager on a daily basis. Manage and track all waste generated onsite, including review and tracking of hazardous waste manifests. Collect media samples for system and site evaluations. Maintain working relationship with onsite clients. Direct and perform field activities in accordance with approved planning documents; provide field oversight to ensure quality control/quality assurance on behalf of SRS and the Project Manager. Solicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors. Site Safety and Health: Conduct daily safety tailgate meetings during field events; completes daily heavy equipment inspection checklists; and monitors safety procedures for traffic control during work on city streets. Perform routine inspection of first aid, personal protective equipment, and emergency response supplies. Implement all safety requirements included in Site Safety and Health plan and maintains records of personnel certifications and hazardous materials inventory Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 1-3 years’ experience as a Field Technician in a Site Superintendent role Knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical systems Must be competent at reading plans and specifications; and following manufacturer’s operating manuals or SOPs. Also researching manufacturer’s manuals online.
