Employer: Radiation Pros LLC
Location: (Main Office) 34501 E Quincy Ave Bldg. 65 Ste A, Watkins, CO 80137
Compensation: $25 - $32/hr. – w/ frequent overtime

Radiation Pros LLC (Rad Pros), is a fast-growing environmental services company that provides exceptional waste management and consulting services in the oil and gas, mining, water treatment, and government/private sectors. We are a pioneer in NORM/TENORM management, and Rad Pros’ team of professionals has led the way in site characterization, remediation, demolition (RAD), technical consulting, and State licensing.
Rad Pros is looking for an Environmental Technician as an integral part of our tight-knit field team, working hand-in-hand with every level of employees, from the CEO to Equipment Operators, to accomplish the project goals and carry out this critical work.
A successful Environmental Technician candidate must be a team player and self-driven. We provide additional training when necessary to complete successful projects; our new hires will be coached and trained to use their skills and strong logistical abilities to complete projects. An Environmental Technician must have an aptitude to oversee multiple projects from initial customer interface, to execution, to status updates, to regulatory interaction, to final closeout for the company’s collective success. A strong work ethic, appropriate work conduct, commitment to details, and eagerness to “do more” are non-negotiable for this position.

Core Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Using your knowledge of ECMC/COGCC rules and regulations related to remediation, reclamation, and spill response work in Colorado, assist in our initiative to better support oil and gas operators in the area.
  • Use your exceptional written skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, and/or Google Docs to generate impeccable reports for ECMC and our clients. Using your experience with Forms 27 and 19, writing and the requisite assessment, sampling, and analysis required to complete these forms.
  • Use your people and organizational skills to interface with clients on job sites positively and constructively. Work cooperatively with regulators, subordinates waste facilities, laboratories, and scientists. Excellent communication, integration, and follow-up between parties are required.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, integrating with and holding yourself accountable for excellence and timeliness in meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ensure follow-through for the execution of deliverables including performing field work, sampling, surveying, report writing, data analysis, and / or modeling.
  • Grow in your knowledge and understanding of oil and gas operations and radiation through formal and informal education and by teaching others.
  • Manage instrument calibration for Rad Pro’s clients through tracking calibration due dates, facilitating picking-up and delivery of instruments for/after calibration and providing rental instruments on projects.
  • Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for internal processes and client radiation protection programs.
  • Manage multiple priorities to ensure Rad Pros objectives are met and to ensure accountability, timeliness, and excellence in meeting client and regulatory expectations.
  • Use workflow software, email, and verbal communication to effectively communicate upcoming deadlines and deliverables.

Additional Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Health Physics, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas, water treatment, laboratories, radiochemistry, waste management, or brokering (Preferred).
  • Experience with the ECMC/COGCC and their regulations of Forms 27 and 19. (Experience with Forms 27 and 19 is a big plus).
  • 0 – 2 years of experience minimum (additional experience is highly valued).
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing, for effective communication with clients and team members. Able to create reports, daily logs, SOPs, and other documentation as needed.
  • Ability to work in the field, which requires walking, stooping, carrying up to 50lbs, sampling soils/water, operating a GPS unit, etc.
  • The ability to apply mechanical aptitude to a variety of situations.
  • The ability to learn new principles, techniques, and integrate them into your work.
  • A quick learner, who thrives within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Clean background and DMV record.
  • Able to pass an initial drug and alcohol test, with additional spot checks during employment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Colorado and the US in support of projects
  • Passionate about working safely and with the ability to follow safety instructions.
