Eosol Group is a leading company in the field of renewable energy, with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. We are currently seeking a qualified PV Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team in Rome. This position will initially require on-site work in Rome, transitioning to a remote work setup based on project needs and performance.
As a PV Environmental Technician, you will play an integral role in supporting our projects by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards across various photovoltaic (PV installations. You will be responsible for executing a range of tasks pivotal to the environmental assessment process, and you will collaborate closely with project teams to achieve our organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Environmental Technician, preferably within the photovoltaic sector.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices applicable to renewable energy projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and managing environmental compliance across various types of projects.
  • Proficient in preparing technical documentation, including specifications and budget calculations, related to environmental work.
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and standards, along with a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods in environmental science.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with project stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project inspections and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support in reviewing the SIA (Environmental Impact Study and other relevant preliminary environmental studies before the issuance of the VIA (Environmental Impact Authorization. Analyze project-specific requirements and constraints to ensure comprehensive environmental assessments.
  • Develop an Environmental Requirements Matrix, outlining the necessary assessments associated with the VIA, ensuring that all regulatory and environmental considerations are meticulously planned and executed.
  • Calculate budgets pertaining to environmental supervision and the execution of environmental measures to aid project feasibility and compliance with sustainability standards.
  • Formulate environmental specifications for EWA (Environmental Work Authorization and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contracts, ensuring clarity and adherence to environmental expectations.
  • Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of environmental services, aligning project needs with regulatory demands.
  • Participate actively in the review of environmental documentation related to the relazione di ottemperanza (compliance report to assess and ensure that all stipulated conditions are met throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate environmental aspects of various projects while providing oversight through routine inspection visits to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and project specifications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of environmental reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve our compliance standards and project outcomes.
  • Travel may be required to project sites for inspections, evaluations, and coordination with local regulatory bodies.
