SUMMARY

Talisker Resources is looking for an Environmental Technician to join their Bralorne team in a part time capacity. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Technician will primarily be responsible with assisting the Environmental Department with field sampling, monitoring and data management.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans.
  • Collect and analyze environmental samples, including soil, water, and air.
  • Maintain accurate records of environmental data and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote environmentally responsible practices.
  • Participate in site inspections and audits as required.
  • Provide support during environmental training sessions for staff.
  • Stay updated on relevant environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Qualifications
  • College or University Degree in Environmental Science or Technician, Environmental Field courses/ Certification preferred.
  • Safety Certificates: First Aid, working near water, Wildlife awareness (Bear Aware) willing to take training courses.
  • Minimum 1 year Field work: collecting data, organizing and implementing field programs
  • Knowledge and experience with BC Field Sampling Manual an asset.
  • Strong Microsoft, Word, Excel and outlook skills. Data Management
  • Strong Organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong Health and Safety disposition and teamwork orientated
  • Working independently, Attention to Details.
  • Comfortable driving Side by side / work truck.
  • Working outdoors in adverse conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
