Here is the information: Weekender: Every weekend plus one more day during the week. This position does include linen distribution and Utility Tech work. Both positions can be very physical. 1st Shift - 6:30 - 3:00 PM. Environmental Services Department • Cleaning and Disinfection: Ensures all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas, are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to maintain a safe environment. • Waste Management: Handles the proper disposal of medical and non-medical waste, including hazardous materials. • Linen Services: Manages the distribution and cleaning of linens used throughout the hospital. • Pest Control: Implements measures to prevent and control pest infestations • Environmental Sustainability: Promotes eco-friendly practices such as recycling and energy conservation. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, using appropriate designated engagement techniques. • Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms and ancillary areas, to include, but notlimited to, bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed and any other areas that may require attention using designated and appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures. • Must have good working knowledge and be capable of accessing and using all department related technology systems, such as but not limited to, the Bed Management systems. • Replenishes supplies as needed, remove bio-medical waste, trash and soiled linen as required daily and changes cubicle/window curtains as needed. • Completes patient room and bathroom cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and overall cleanliness standards utilizing the approved proceduresfor patient room cleaning to include Bed Managementsystems where applicable. • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge ofthe health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing. • Adheres to all organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety. • Operates UV disinfection machine as needed. • Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to, improve Customer Experience and cleanliness metrics. • Follows all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA) • Reports unsafe situations and turnsin Engineering Service Requestsforrepair. • Ability to communicate, read, and write in standard English asthisisthe main businesslanguage. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures Qualifications Experience No experience or lessthan 3 years exp. in Health care supportservices and/or environmental services, hospitality, or related field
