Description
Conduct environmental HW validation test suites on Ford's newest and legacy ECUs. Conduct Ford's internal Thermal Validation test suites using automated SW test tools. Issue tracking, investigation and resolution of test failures or deficiencies on new and existing module designs, working closely with design teams for performance expectations. Operation of temperature, humidity, dust, water and audio test chambers and setups. Operation of other specialized equipment such vibration, shock and force test systems. Perform RF Calibrations for Modem and Antenna Performance Validation Setups Utilize Ford approved tools and methos regarding failure reporting (JIRA/WIKI/TR). Detailed test result documentation creation, as per Ford / ISO17025 defined methods. Perform test results analysis to assess statistical ECU performance and reliability. Work with Test Development Team regarding complex test validation issues. Interface closely with Mechanical and Electrical Product Design teams regarding any ECU performance issue documentation and discovery processes. Find opportunities for lab improvements and drive to improve test quality by reducing test complexity and increase test coverage where possible. Support cable stock management, including fabrication, assembly and distribution Design and Development of Testing Harnesses: Design, build, and maintain custom testing harnesses for in-house modules and devices. This includes hands-on work such as cutting, stripping, soldering, and crimping wires, performed in collaboration with the lab team. Materials Management and Procurement: Manage inventory of automotive connectors, terminals, tools, and other necessary materials. This involves ordering materials from local, national, and international suppliers, as well as managing and delivering orders. Internal Systems Management: Maintain and update internal Ford websites related to the distribution and demand forecasting of custom harnesses. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Technology Engineering, Mechanical Technology Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 1+ year Experience Operating Temperature Chambers and Vibration Tables 1+ year Experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and precision power meters. Basic DSP knowledge for programming embedded test sample HW. Experience in functional test systems for Audio, Power, Conducted RF and Radiated RF testing of 2G/3G/4G/5G/Wi-Fi/BT/GPS, CAN/LIN, Displays and Cameras (e.g., AEC-Q, USCAR, ISO/IEC) (ISO/IEC-17025 A2LA) Experience with Liquid Chiller Systems and Advanced Temperature Shock Chambers. Experience with electrical cable assembly fabrication, test and termination processes Electronic PCB Assembly Inspection, Destructive and Chemical Analysis Processes. (IPC) (LabView and TestStand) Failure Probability (Weibull) and Accelerated Life-Cycle testing. Statistical Data analysis (histogram / CPK) automation tools. (TDR /Cellular/GPS/WiFi/BT) Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet (BroadR), Audio (i2S), Displays (LVDS) and Cameras. Network Expert with TCP/IP connectivity protocol standards knowledge base. Experience with embedded chip programming and software download into electronic modules. Knowledge of Surface Mount, Selective Solder, Underfill, Conformal-Coat processes. Experience working with dynamic RF front-end designs and Qualcomm tool sets.
