Expression of Interest: Injury Management Advisor UGL provides engineering, construction, and maintenance services across industries including rail, transport, telecommunications, oil and gas, power, renewables, resources, water, and defence in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. About the role We’re seeking expressions of interest for an Injury Management Advisor to join our national injury team and help our people return to meaningful work. The role can be based in Brisbane or North Sydney. You’ll be the go-to person for supporting our people through injury management, return-to-work programs, and fitness-for-work assessments. This means working across Workers’ Compensation, Income Protection, and pre-employment medicals, while managing both physical and psychological injuries. You’ll partner closely with our People & Culture and Safety teams, as well as health practitioners and insurers, to make sure recovery is smooth and supportive. Why this role? No two days are the same in this varied role from return-to-work plans to income protection and fitness-for-work assessments. Work across multiple and diverse industries to include oil & gas, mining, and infrastructure. Full-time preferred, but we’ll consider part-time (4 days/week). You will be the go-to expert and collaborate with onsite teams that value your input. Make a positive impact and help people recover and return to meaningful work. Key responsibilities Develop and guide Return-to-Work plans in collaboration with site teams. Manage Workers’ Compensation and Income Protection claims. Liaise with health practitioners and allied health providers. Oversee fitness-for-work assessments and pre-employment medical escalations. Use our SOLVE Injury Management system (training provided).
