EOI - INSTRUCTOR, AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

POSITION TYPE: 2 Full-Time Positions Available
SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
- The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.
POSITION LOCATION: Stevenson Campus/Southport, MB (90km outside of Winnipeg, MB)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer training; other programs approved by Transport Canada may be considered
- Several years of experience working in a technical and supervisory environment related to aircraft maintenance engineering in a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
- TC AME M1 and/or M2 category license on a variety of aircraft
- Experience in instructing adults
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chair, Aircraft Maintenance, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are reciprocating engines, turbine engines, hydraulic systems, etc. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.
