Description
We are seeking an experienced Rigger / Dogman to join our site-based delivery team. In this role, you will provide safe, efficient and compliant rigging and dogging services across scheduled, unscheduled and urgent works. You will play a key part in ensuring all lifting and rigging activities are planned, documented and executed to the highest safety and quality standards. This role suits a safety-focused professional who can work autonomously, adapt to changing site requirements and contribute positively to a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Technical Plan and execute rigging and dogging activities safely and efficiently. Assist in the preparation, review and updates of work instructions, procedures, lifting plans and special tool requirements. Adhere strictly to Lifting Equipment and Operations procedures. Ensure all lifting equipment is registered, inspected and compliant with statutory and client requirements. Participate in the development of lift study plans and risk assessments in line with State/National regulations and client procedures. Conduct pre-operational and routine inspections of all rigging and dogging equipment. Develop and document appropriate plans and risk assessments for complex or high-risk rigging activities (non-crane). Notify supervision of statutory inspection requirements and ensure records are maintained within the client CMMS. Secure and maintain rigging equipment storage areas. Complete timesheets accurately and on time. Safety Carry out all work in a safe manner, ensuring a safe work environment for employees, contractors and visitors. Participate in daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings. Use required PPE and safety systems including JSA, pre-work checklists and risk assessments. Report hazards, incidents and near misses in line with company procedures. Actively participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives. Other Duties Complete all site inductions as required by clients. Maintain a professional standard of conduct, attitude and presentation at all times. Keep the workspace clean, organised and safe. Be flexible to assist with Trade Assistant duties during rigging downtime as required by project needs. Participate in ongoing learning and development to enhance skills and capability. Comply with all company systems, processes, policies and expected behaviours. Qualifications & Experience Essential Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role on construction or industrial sites Rigger and Dogman licence High Risk Work Licence (EWP, RI or RA) Construction White Card Working at Heights ticket Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unlimited working rights Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision Proven strong safety record Desirable Telehandler, Forklift or CN ticket Confined Space Entry ticket Personal Attributes Strong team player with a positive, safety-first mindset Clear verbal and written communication skills Able to adapt quickly and learn new skills and processes Proactive approach to continuous improvement and efficiency Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills Why Join Us?
