EOT CRANE MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Ø Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at varied customer locations, as directed.
Ø Execute the planned preventative maintenance.
Ø Ensure that daily inspections are completed to standard and documented.
Ø Maintain regular communication with Service Engineer and Planner.
Ø Maintain all company issued assets in a safe and proper working order. Operate tools and equipment’s in a safe and responsible manner.
Ø Conduct on-site Mechanical, structural troubleshooting to determine the cause for equipment malfunction or failure.
Ø Should be familiar with Motor-Gearbox working, Hydraulics, Metal Wheels, Flanges, Oil seals, Motor Brakes, Thruster Brakes, Hook blocks, Chain blocks.
Ø Should be familiar and able to troubleshoot gearbox issues, basic rail alignment, and other mechanical problems.
Ø Must be familiar to basic load testing techniques and arrangements to help third party inspector to carry out certification of EOT Cranes, Mono rail beams, Chain blocks etc.
Ø Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Engineer.
Ø Experience in oil and gas sites is mandatory

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, crouching and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling and crawling.
2. Must be willing and able to work at height.
3. Must be capable of working in environment exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years or More, Experience in Electrical Crane including JIB, Overhead, Goliath, Semi-Goliath Cranes -Maintenance, Repair, Installation, Troubleshooting, Relevant material handling, Chain blocks etc.
