JOB TITLE: Epic Ambulatory Analyst DEPARTMENT: Epic FULL TIME/PRN: Hybrid options; occasional after‑hours support JOB SUMMARY The Epic Ambulatory Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and support of the Epic Ambulatory application. Collaborates closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient, high‑quality patient care. Serves as a subject matter expert, troubleshooter, and liaison between end users, IT, and Epic. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES System Design & Build: Configure Ambulatory workflows, visit types, smart tools, questionnaires, orders, navigators, templates; Analyze business/clinical requirements; Participate in upgrades and new features. Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate issues; Identify root causes; Use Epic tools (Sherlock logs, troubleshooting utilities); Collaborate with Epic Support. Collaboration & Communication: Work with clinicians, scheduling teams, leaders; Participate in workgroups and governance; Communicate system changes; Monitor system performance; Contribute to cross‑functional integration. Testing & Documentation: Develop test strategies; Maintain documentation, workflow diagrams, and build specs; Resolve application issues; Maintain audit‑ready records. Training & Go‑Live Support: Support training teams; Provide on‑site go‑live support; Assist with end‑user training. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, business, or related field; 1–3+ years of EHR experience (Epic preferred); Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; Excellent communication and customer service skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Epic Ambulatory certification; Experience supporting ambulatory/outpatient clinics; Familiarity with documentation standards, clinical ops, and regulatory requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standard office environment with hybrid options; Occasional after‑hours support during upgrades, go‑lives, or downtime events.
