Summary Under moderate direction, the Epic Application Analyst II is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, implementing and support of assigned applications. Builds collaborative relationships with health system leadership, clinical department users, IT and other departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. May be assigned to more complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advance issues. The Analyst II will work as a key member of the support team to build, maintain, test, and train as needed to assure successful implementation and ongoing support. The Analyst II will be the key subject matter expert and act as the liaison between stake holders and the support team for assigned applications. Position Reports To: EHR Applications & Integrations Manager Essential Functions Contributes to projects by determining tasks/priorities, assisting with discovery and scope setting sessions, and managing portions of low complexity projects. Follows and provides input that improve established standards, methodologies and procedures and leads by example. Gathers enough information and client feedback to problem solve and recognizes key relationships across issues, teams, and stakeholders. Performs complex analysis, problem resolution, planning/designing portions of applications and appropriately leverages outside resources. Initiates communication with training to make sure they have a full understanding of workflow changes. Provides specific and relevant feedback, seeks feedback to improve performance and accepts feedback in a positive/constructive manner. Provides mentoring, encourages others to achieve their goals, and works well with differing personalities and work styles. Handles challenges in own work area, is confident taking on new tasks and projects, even when not familiar to analyst. Demonstrates ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, and crisis. Knowing what information is critical to communicate. Demonstrates progressive skill set development and initiates their own additional training to improve skills and increase knowledge. Speaks effectively in individual and group situations and conveys a positive manner in written, verbal and non-verbal communication. Demonstrates proficiency in assigned applications/software and understands interactions between system components. Supports leaderships' priorities and cultivates relationship with manger. Qualifications Required: Associate's Degree or 2 years EHR analyst experience; or 1 year EHR analyst experience; or relevant healthcare training and/or healthcare work experience. Hold a minimum of one Epic certification and be up to date with all cert requirements. Have 3 - 4 years experience as an Epic Application Analyst I or equivalent position; or perform at required level per manager's discretion. Take ongoing training, attend classes and seminars, and complete certifications required for the position. Ability to work with clinical staff, providers and managers to identify needs. Desired: Prefer two years as a Healthcare team member who will bring department specific workflow knowledge to the role. Possess good customer service skills, superior time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Experience with large system implementation; able to recommend implementation/support strategies based on industry best practices. Ability to keep professional demeanor in stressful circumstances and work well independently and in team environments.
