Description
Design the overall architecture for Epic environments, including production, non-production, and disaster recovery. Ensure alignment with Epic's system specifications for compute, storage, network, virtualization, and backup. Architect for scalability, high availability (HA), and fault tolerance, especially for critical components like Hyperspace, Chronicles, and Web BLOBs. Develop standards and processes for environment refreshes, version upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle management. Manage physical and virtual infrastructure builds supporting Epic components (including Clarity, Caboodle, Interconnect, etc.). Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish and maintain monitoring solutions for key infrastructure layers (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network latency, etc.). Work proactively to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with Epic TS and internal teams to tune systems for optimal performance. Ensure infrastructure complies with HIPAA, HITRUST, and internal security standards. Architect and test disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans for all Epic systems. Oversee patch management, vulnerability remediation, and role-based access control (RBAC) for infrastructure components.
