What you’ll do at OhioMHAS: As an Epic Interface Analyst supporting the Epic Clinical Systems at OhioMHAS, many opportunities are offered to impact family, friends, and the residences of the State of Ohio. The anaylst in this role will primarily work with the initial implementation of the Epic System and then support the system and end user to make sure the technology is optimized for our Regional Psychiatric Hospital for enhanced work processes and overall patient care. We are a close-knit community of IT staff and develop applications which allows mental health and addiction providers to serve our community in need. Our applications support, regulate, fund, and collect data to allow our organization the ability to respond to those in crisis as well as those needing continuity of care. Key responsibilities: Develops and maintain system interfaces Focuses on HL7 integration supporting back-end processes for financial and clinical applications and reporting Works with end-users and project teams to analyze and document data and workflow processes Analyzes interface specifications from both the sending and receiving systems to determine feasibility and interface methodology Assists with maintenance of integrated infrastructure including routine support, upgrades, problem diagnosis and performance tuning Assists project manager in development of project plans focusing on technical work requirements and effort Participates in go-live event developing detailed plan, coordinating resources, provides support, training, and troubleshooting assistance Provides technical support to system end users functioning as the primary resource for managing and resolving system issues Research and investigate new technologies or workflows as needed to support operations Collaborating with stakeholders (internal, members, vendors) to address integration issues This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 35 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday-Friday. This position is located within our Office of Information Technology located at 30 E. Broad Street, 33rd floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. Position Qualifications The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the application. The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following: Alternative 1: • Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems And • 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: o assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting. Alternative 2: • Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems And • 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: o assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting. Alternative 3: • 60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: o assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting. Or • equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Additional preferred qualifications: Epic certification in one or more Epic modules (Bridges) or certification to be initiated as directed and completed within 3 months upon completion of Epic training All eligible applications shall be reviewed considering the following criteria: qualifications, experience, education, and active disciplinary record.
