Description Job Title: Epicor Administrator Blue Star Power Systems, Inc., a rapidly growing company located in Upper North Mankato MN, is seeking a motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Epicor Administrator, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer. As our team expands, we are looking for a proactive and versatile Systems Administrator who is ready to take on a variety of responsibilities and grow with our organization. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment and is willing to take initiative beyond traditional systems administration duties. Position Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Epicor Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize our Epicor ERP system within a small but dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is a critical part of our IT operations and will work closely with various departments including production, finance, inventory, sales, and customer service to ensure that our ERP system aligns with business needs and drives operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: ERP System Administration Administer and maintain the Epicor ERP system 2022.2.30. Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security within Epicor. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability. Apply patches, upgrades, and service packs in coordination with vendors and IT leadership. Support & Troubleshooting Provide day-to-day support for end-users across departments. Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and serve as the primary point of contact for Epicor technical support. Train new users and create/maintain documentation and user guides. Process Improvement & Configuration Collaborate with department leads to understand operational workflows and recommend improvements through ERP functionality. Customize forms, dashboards, and reports using Epicor tools (BAQs, BPMs, SSRS, etc.). Support configuration changes that enhance system usability and efficiency. Integration & Reporting Develop and maintain system reports using Epicor tools and SQL queries. Support integrations with third-party applications (e.g., shipping software, CRM, accounting tools). Ensure data integrity and support periodic audits or data cleanup efforts. Project Support Lead or support ERP-related projects including module rollouts, system upgrades, and process enhancements. Participate in cross-functional project teams to implement new features or workflows. Own future migration of system changes from local UI to cloud based interface as well as change management. Project Management & Implementation Assist with IT projects including hardware/software upgrades, new system deployments, and the implementation of business applications. Work closely with other departments to identify IT needs and provide solutions. Other IT-related Duties Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed, such as managing software subscriptions, maintaining inventory of IT equipment, or supporting company-wide IT initiatives. Work on special IT-related projects and help implement new technology solutions. Qualifications: Required: 3+ years of experience administering and supporting Epicor ERP (preferably in a manufacturing environment). Strong understanding of ERP modules including manufacturing, inventory, supply chain, and finance. Proficiency with Epicor tools such as BAQ, BPM, SSRS, and Dashboards. Experience with SQL Server (queries, views, stored procedures). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across functional areas. Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical users. Preferred: Experience with Epicor Kinetic (latest cloud version). Familiarity with manufacturing processes (MRP, BOMs, job scheduling). Experience integrating ERP with other systems (e.g., EDI, CRM, shipping). Scripting or development experience in C# or other languages used in Epicor customization. Work Environment & Expectations: This is an on-site role that will work closely with our Systems Administrator. May require occasional after-hours support during system updates or emergencies. As part of a small IT team, the ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities. The Epicor Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the IT infrastructure that keeps our business operations running smoothly. This includes being a backup to our Systems Administrator and may be tasked with assisting with managing servers, networks, and other critical systems, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security protocols are followed, and assisting staff with technology-related needs. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and eager to learn, with the ability to handle a variety of IT tasks as they arise.
