Sobi is currently recruiting for Associate Director, Epidemiology, to join our growing Global Real-World Evidence (GRWE) team within RDMA. The opportunity: In this strategic and scientific leadership role, the Associate Director, Epidemiology, will: Provide epidemiology support for RWE studies Contribute to the development of evidence generation plans and design of RWE studies for scientific and regulatory purposes Advise study teams on research methodologies and statistical analysis approaches/techniques Create and oversee the execution of analytic plans for RWE studies. Key Responsibilites: Contributes to the development of evidence generation plans and design of RWE studies (e.g., systematic literature reviews, database studies, and observational studies/disease registries) Ensures epidemiology perspective is adequately and appropriately reflected in study documents e.g., study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and regulatory documents Prepares and presents study results for inclusion in conference abstracts, presentations, and scientific publications Participates actively on cross-functional teams and leads sub-team meetings as appropriate Interacts with authors, referees, and in-house reviewers on scientific manuscripts, clinical conference abstracts, presentations, and posters based on observational study data within the supported therapeutic areas Represents the GRWE team during interactions with key external stakeholders including Scientific Advisory Boards and regulatory authorities Qualifications Qualifications: PhD, DSc or DrPH in Epidemiology or related field with 4+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare, academic or research setting MS or MPH with 7+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare, academic or research setting 4+ years of experience in study design, research methodology, and statistical analysis Preferred: Evidence of productivity in epidemiology related/RWE studies as demonstrated by successful design, execution, and publication of epidemiology related/RWE studies Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills Excellent attention to detail and quality, and scientific rigor Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Solid work ethic with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in scope or direction of projects Thorough and up-to-date technical knowledge of epidemiology and relevant biostatistics methods Experience using SAS or similar statistical software packages Additional Information How to apply? Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Epidemiology will provide epidemiology support for real-world evidence studies and contribute to the development of evidence generation plans. They will also advise study teams on research methodologies and oversee the execution of analytic plans.
