Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) - Atlanta, GA 30333 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Bachelors Degree Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Public Health Position Objective: Provide epidemiology, surveillance, research, and field investigation support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) by coordinating data collection/analysis, producing actionable insights, and communicating results to CDC teams and partners. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate collection, management, and analysis of investigation/surveillance data. Develop/revise study protocols, questionnaires, and data collection instruments. Conduct epidemiologic analyses using SAS, R, or equivalent; write/troubleshoot code. Clean data; build reports; develop dashboards/visualizations. Support IRB-related activities as needed and maintain data security/confidentiality. Prepare slides, tables, figures, and written products for CDC audiences and publications. Communicate analytic results clearly to CDC staff and external partners. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 1-3 years of demonstrated experience supporting epidemiology/surveillance work (preferably public health) Bachelor's degree in public health or related field Ability to analyze and report on complex datasets using statistical software (e.g., SAS or R) Ability to work effectively with CDC staff across multiple organizational levels Ability to obtain and maintain required CDC/HHS suitability (Public Trust) and comply with CDC information security/privacy requirements Preferred Qualifications: Experience with clinical data Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools Ability to perform in a public health emergency response environment Strong organizational skills, proofreading, and professional communication etiquette Strong written communication skills for reports/briefings and strong attention to detail
