Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time Location: Wellington Business Group: Finance Branch: Enterprise Services Salary: $128,199 - $146,513 The EPMO Senior Advisor is a strategic and influential role within the Enterprise Services branch, providing specialist portfolio support and advice to senior leaders including the Secretary of Internal Affairs, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Finance and Investment Committee (FIC) and across business units. The role is pivotal in shaping and guiding programme and project delivery, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities and best practice standards. It involves hands-on engagement throughout the project lifecycle—from mobilisation to benefit realisation—while also contributing to governance, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. Beyond operational support, the Senior Advisor plays a key role in portfolio planning, practice management, and continuous improvement. This includes developing and refining tools, standards, and methodologies that enhance the department’s capability in project and portfolio management. The role demands strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups, including internal teams, governance committees, and external vendors.
