Stone Gables Estate is always seeking caring, talented individuals to join our team and make a difference Requirements Job Summary Assists with the equine program and overall care of the animals at Stone Gables Estate. Provide enjoyable and safely lead trail rides for guests. Skills and Qualifications Must be able to work weekends/some holidays and occasional Sunday’s. A minimum of 2 years of consistent training in horseback riding and/or horse care. Must have strong people skills as this position interacts with guests. Primary Job Duties Daily feeding and care of animals. Grooming/tacking and leading trail rides. Assisting guests and their needs for the entirety of their visit. Reporting any sickness/lameness/wounds/or concerning issues with any of the animals. Willingness to learn the operation of farm equipment. Clean up of the barn area and various farm chores. Willingness to participate in any other staffing needs throughout the property and events held. Parking, tear down of chairs or benches, trash collection, cleaning, Kubota driving, animals handling, pony rides etc. Physical Demands/Environment: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, handle objects, talk, and hear Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds with team assistance or equipment Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch Work performed indoors and outdoors, including wet or humid weather conditions May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise levels
Responsibilities
The role involves assisting with the equine program, including daily feeding, grooming, tacking, and safely leading trail rides for guests. Additionally, the associate must assist guests, report animal health issues, and perform various farm chores and event support duties.
