EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR PURPOSE: Responsible for Data Entry, tracking owned and rented equipment to jobsites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining spreadsheet on equipment location and assignments. Responds to calls from the field requesting equipment be dispatched to job site. Maintains dispatch area in a clean and organized manner. Traveling to HWI yard sites to inventory equipment. Follow all requirements of the company safety program. Take personal responsibility for safety in working environment. Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Equipment Manager EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of experience in the field or related areas are preferred. General knowledge of the various disciplines and procedures utilized by the Construction industry is preferred. LICENSE Must possess a valid class C California driver's license with a good driving record and must be 21 years of age (must be eligible to drive a company vehicle). SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Good knowledge of safety precautions and procedures relating to dispatch matters. Working knowledge of excel and access software for recordkeeping. Knowledge of Spectrum preferred. Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Complies with and maintains company confidentiality practices and policies. Interacts professionally with all company employees and outside persons. Able to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects. Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Working conditions consists of temperature-controlled buildings or offices, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when working with in open environments, driving from various locations or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on work location.
