Your Role at Beneq As an Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our P400 and P800 ALD tools and metrology equipment. Your primary focus will be on maximizing tool uptime through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process hardware testing. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer sample processing and contribute to the continuous improvement of our equipment performance. Your Key Responsibilities Tool Maintenance and Uptime Ensure high tool availability to meet customer sample and production schedules. Perform preventive and regular maintenance on P400 and P800 ALD tools. Perform preventive and regular maintenance, and calibration of metrology tools. Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to reduce downtime. Equipment Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineering, process development, and vendors to address complex problems. Analyze root causes of tool failures and implement corrective actions. Maintenance Program Development Define maintenance tasks and programs in Spotilla maintenance management system. Define maintenance metrics to support continuous improvement. Write technical documentation and work instructions for maintenance tasks. Process Hardware Testing Test, verify, and report on the performance and feasibility of process-related hardware components. Work alongside Process Development and Engineering teams to drive improvements. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Work closely with engineering, process development, and assembly teams to optimize equipment performance. Participate in cross-functional meetings to support process and quality improvements. Develop and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and repairs to identify trends and improvement areas. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment management. To succeed in this role, you should have: A MSc. Or BSc. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or engineering, preferably in the semiconductor industry. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments. Knowledge of thin film processes and experience working in a cleanroom environment is a plus. Bonus Skills That Set You Apart Familiarity with equipment and chemicals used in wafer fabrication, deposition, lithography, or etching processes. Familiarity with optical thin film metrology equipment such as ellipsometry Experience with maintenance tracking systems. Certifications or training in equipment maintenance or thin film processes.
