Equipment Engineer - Tester --- Job Summary NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Equipment Engineer - Tester to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize semiconductor test equipment, ensuring high reliability and efficiency in our manufacturing operations. Job Responsibilities * Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of semiconductor test equipment, including automated test equipment (ATE) and associated peripherals. * Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, and software components of test systems. * Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions. * Participate in the installation, qualification, and calibration of new test equipment. * Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime, yield, and throughput. * Develop and update maintenance procedures, documentation, and training materials for technicians. * Support process improvements and technology transfers, ensuring equipment readiness for new product introductions. * Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within a cleanroom environment. * Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for equipment service and parts procurement. Job Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. * Strong understanding of electronics, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems. * Proficiency in troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues. * Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. * Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety regulations. * Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test equipment control is a plus.
