We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Equipment Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, and configuring specialized equipment at client sites, ensuring everything is fully functional and ready for use. Experience with ophthalmic or medical equipment is a strong asset. This position requires technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. the Service Team is located in our Toronto Head Office (Victoria Park and Steeles).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or trade certification is a plus
  • Experience installing or servicing equipment—preferably in medical or ophthalmic settings
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read technical documents, wiring diagrams, and floor layouts
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable lifting heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and working in clinical environments

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and test diagnostic and treatment equipment according to specifications
  • Read and interpret installation manuals, floor plans, and schematics
  • Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards
  • Train clients on basic use and care of the equipment
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate delivery, setup, and client communication
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site or escalate as needed
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation and service records
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in good working condition
  • Travel to customer locations as required (local and regional, with some overnight travel)
