Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

You’re not just looking for any job, you want to make an impact. As the Equipment & Logistics Coordinator at Deep B.V., you’ll play a key role in ensuring our projects are executed efficiently by managing the critical resources that survey-teams use during their projects: their equipment.
Are you someone who thrives on organisation and logistics? Do you get energised by the idea of no two days being the same? Do you enjoy making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? Then this could be the perfect role for you! You’ll join our Planning & Resources team, working closely with the People & Project Planner, and report to the Planning & Resource Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Start Your Day with Precision: As an Equipment & Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be reviewing logistics for ongoing projects. You ensure that all necessary equipment is prepared, hired and/or shipped on time. For example, an engineer may report that a key piece of equipment needs replacing or repair—you’ll handle the logistics efficiently.
Your role is to ensure that all equipment is properly tested and certified by external vendors.
Managing the Flow: you’ll collaborate with the People & Project Planner to ensure that equipment aligns with project timelines. For instance, a new project may require specific survey equipment, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring it’s ready to go with the survey team or shipped on time to a project destination in any part the world. You also make sure our Survey Engineers are up to speed on the ongoing project.
New Projects & Process Improvement: Beyond daily tasks, you’ll also work on improving internal processes and improving the administration itself. You’ll be involved in evaluating and implementing new planning and equipment resource management software, which is crucial for the Planning & Resources team. Moreover, you will work on improving current administration of all equipment needed on the projects, their certification and maintenance.
Adapt to Project Needs: You will review ongoing project progress, ensuring that all equipment rentals and purchases are on track. With your understanding (or ability to quickly learn) how offshore projects operate, you’ll anticipate potential issues like last-minute changes in priorities or incorrect equipment orders. You will work closely with engineers and Chief Surveyors to ensure the correct equipment is rented or planned, making necessary adjustments to prevent delays.
Collaboration is Key: Last, but certainly not least is the importance of a smooth collaboration with the People & Projects Planner. You will form a steady planning team together. In the absence of the People & Projects Planner you are able to take over their responsibilities.
At the end of the day, you make sure that all details are properly administrated.
