Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician, this position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of manufacturing production equipment and facility systems. JTI has over thirty years' experience specializing in the design, manufacture and sales of high-quality Power and RF ceramic chip capacitors, inductors, and Integrated Passive Components into the global electronics market. Machine shop experience with lathes, mills, band saw and drill press. Hands-on experience using power and hand tools Working knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and plumbing. Must be able to problem solve and analysis complex mechanical issues Must have sound analytical skills Exposure to hi-speed equipment Good math skills. Basic computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Education and Experience Advance knowledge of computers and spreadsheet experience. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Experience with programmable and numeric controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment mechanical systems. Support facilities systems performing trouble shooting and maintenance activities. Upgrade aging equipment by implementing new technology Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment Generate purchase requisitions for spare parts, tools, etc. (as required) Communicate with other employees, operators and outside vendors as needed Maintain documentation as required Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with equipment manufacturer's recommendations and/or Internal Procedures. Provide technical assistance and resolution when equipment problems occur. Adhere to good housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean and tidy work area that is free from debris at all times. Complete planned and routine maintenance and inspections safely and on time. Other duties as assigned by Manager Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing/production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
