Description

onsemi is searching for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Assembly and Test Operations. Responsible for the preventive maintenance activities including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and maintain the operations of production tools. The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing demands. This position will report to the Manager of Equipment Engineering.

  • Post-secondary education with a technician diploma
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Equipment Maintenance preferably in Assembly Test Operations.
  • Good mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact as a team player.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Flexible working variable shifts based on business and training needs.
  • Semiconductor cleanroom, health and safety and chemical handling are required.
  • Responsible for Equipment Maintenance encompassing tools used in assembly of Electronic Modules such as Pick and Place tools, Compression Mold, Ovens, Inspection stations, Dicing Saws and Final Test.
  • Responsible for maintaining high equipment uptime.
  • Plan and perform Preventative Maintenance and calibration activities on time and create daily reports (pass-down).
  • Dismantle, adjust repair and assemble manufacturing equipment according to operating and repair manuals.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring/unscheduled downtime.
  • Ongoing cross-functional communication with Manufacturing, Product/Test/Process Engineering and Facilities
  • Provide Technical support to the manufacturing repairs and process improvements.
  • BOM management (Spares management, Prepare New Store Items Request, Purchase Requisitions for required parts, follow up on a delivery of spare item)
  • Champion Safety, Quality job performance as well as maintain safe/clean conditions in work/storage areas.
