About the role: Avicena Technologies is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support wafer fabrication tools and production operations during swing shift. This role focuses on maintaining tool uptime, supporting operators, and assisting with preventative maintenance activities in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a technically inclined candidate looking to build hands-on experience with semiconductor process equipment. Over time, this role provides opportunity for growth into advanced equipment ownership and technical specialization. Shift: Second Shift – 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM Responsibilities: Support daily operation and uptime of wafer fabrication tools Respond to equipment alarms and production calls in a timely manner Assist operators with basic troubleshooting and recovery procedures Perform preventative maintenance on assigned process equipment Support installation, qualification, and start-up of new tools in collaboration with OEM vendors and engineering teams Document maintenance activities and detailed shift pass-downs Assist with spare parts tracking and consumables inventory Serve primarily in equipment maintenance functions, with cross-functional support to facilities maintenance to promote overall operational continuity and team effectiveness Participating in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs Qualifications: Technical certificate, trade school training, or coursework in electronics, mechanical systems, mechatronics, or related field OR 1+ year of hands-on technical experience Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting aptitude Ability to read basic schematics and follow technical documentation Ability to lift up to 35 lbs Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment Comfortable working around hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator and SCBA (training provided) Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during swing shift Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with semiconductor process tools Familiarity with Fab MES, SPC, or similar production systems Basic knowledge of vacuum systems, pneumatics, and electrical controls Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling systems (CMMS)
