JOB SUMMARY
Greentee Country Club - Westwood Plateau is now accepting applications for the position of Full-time Equipment Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of both a curative and preventative maintenance program for all golf course equipment. This includes the organization and operation of a two-bay mechanical shop with appropriate tools, hydraulic lift and a sharpening room. It is expected that the Equipment Manager will be a professional and driven individual who will act as a representative and leader for the maintenance department and as an extension of the Golf Course Superintendent.
EXPERIENCE
o Formal mechanical training, or equivalent / relevant experience
o Familiarity in the safe and proper repair of all types of golf course equipment
o Sound understanding of reel grinding, mower set up and adjustment.
o A background in welding and fabrication would be considered an asset.
o Capacity to use a computer and the ability to problem solve quickly.
o Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
