Job Details Job Location: SP Houston - Houston, TX 77033 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Job Category: Installation - Maint - Repair Job Summary The Equipment Manager is a working manager responsible for overseeing the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of petroleum dispensing equipment, including fuel, DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), and lubricant storage and delivery systems. This role combines hands-on technical responsibilities with leadership duties to ensure equipment readiness, compliance, and operational efficiency across the Equipment Department. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Working Manager Functions Lead by example as a hands-on contributor, actively leading the equipment preparation, maintenance, and field deployment. Balance managerial responsibilities with technical duties, ensuring the team meets productivity, safety, and quality standards. Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to technicians while actively participating in daily operations. Preparation and Maintenance Supervise and assist with the cleaning, painting, and preparation of storage tanks to meet company quality and safety standards. Oversee and perform installation and removal of petroleum dispensing equipment for deployment and maintenance. Ensure the equipment repair shop remains clean, organized, and safe for daily operations. Field Deployment Direct and participate in the preparation of petroleum dispensing equipment for field placement, ensuring operational functionality and compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate and assist with the transportation and setup of fuel, DEF, and lubricant storage/delivery systems at field locations. Equipment Management Ensure compliance with Senergy’s Loaned Equipment Program. Utilize Senergy’s equipment tracking module (BHOS) to track our equipment inventory out in the field. Conduct and oversee routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of equipment. Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner, coordinating repairs as needed. Maintain accurate inventory and records of equipment readiness and usage. Safety and Compliance Enforce all safety protocols, ensuring team adherence to company standards. Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Provide leadership in safe work practices, spill prevention, and emergency response readiness. Additional Must be able to be available for work as early as 6am or as late as 8 pm. Occasional work on weekends and or nights may be necessary. Must be able to work independently, after given instructions. Supervision of Others Service Technician(s) Work Environment Frequent work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Frequent work in dusty, wet, dirty environments and exposure to fuel and fuel fumes, oil and grease. Frequent work in hot or cold environments. Physical Demands Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Able to move freely around work and customer sites. Must be able to climb onto and off of, by means of a rung type ladder, tanks that are approximately 12 feet high and be able to stand on top of a tank, in a narrow space, with no hand holds or guardrails. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Able to move drums up to 400lbs with assistance. Able to push, pull, bend, reach, stoop, squat, and walk/climb various terrains repeatedly. Able to work in cramped or confined spaces. Travel Local Travel/Regional Travel Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge of Petroleum Dispensing Equipment to include tanks, pumps, hoses, nozzles and other related equipment items. Must have a general understanding of UL standards, NFPA codes. Proficiency in inventory management systems, process improvement methodologies, and quality control techniques. Must be familiar with OSHA and MSHA regulations. Must be familiar with Spills Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) Must be familiar with EPA and DEQ Pollution Prevention programs. Must have a working knowledge of facility maintenance and fire suppression equipment and alarms. Strong customer service skills. Able to learn company systems and processes. Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. Four or more years’ experience in transportation, lubricants, fuel, or a related industry.
