POSITION SUMMARY

The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the proper maintenance and repairs of all equipment used by the Grounds Department, The Equipment Mechanic reports directly to the 1st Assistant Superintendent and the Golf Course Superintendent,

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair all equipment for repairs and maintenance,
  • Sharpen all cutting units utilizing specialized equipment when necessary to achieve excellent cutting quality of all mowing equipment.
  • Overhaul and repair automotive and other powered equipment including hydraulic systems, electric systems, engines, brakes, transmissions, differentials, etc.
  • Purchase proper parts needed to replace and or repair worn or broken equipment.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records on all equipment,
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area,
  • Follow environmentally sound procedures for waste disposal within established guidelines of OSHA and sate regulations.
