Description $100,000 per year (DOE) + Full Benefit Package Must have a CDL Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Plan (50%/6% Employer Contributions) HSA (Monthly Employer Contributions) Life Insurance Paid Time-Off The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service on Company vehicles and equipment. The position requires you to operate a variety of hand/power tools and working with pickup trucks, trailers, small and large pavement preservation equipment, diesel trucks and trailers, and other Company equipment. This position may work approximately 50% of the time in the shop, and the other 50% of the time on job sites with a fully-equipped maintenance truck. Overtime and frequent out-of-town work (up to 5 days) required. Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of operations equipment during operations and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of vehicles and equipment. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Prepares and sets up equipment daily use by asphalt crew members. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Requirements High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; 2-3 years of previous experience performing vehicle and equipment maintenance; Must be hard-working, dependable, and able to meet the physical demand; Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement is a bonus Physical Demands The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Days and hours may vary depending on maintenance needed on equipment. This position frequently requires long hours, out-of-town and weekend work.
