Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Equipment Officer, you will:
- Manage the Asset Management System and ensure stock levels align with operational SLAs.
- Oversee the repair, return, evaluation, and ordering of operational equipment with external providers.
- Assist in the roll-out of new vehicles and operational tools, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate annual testing of operational equipment and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct audits across the county to ensure adherence to safety, maintenance, and inventory standards.
- Support procurement by writing specifications for vehicles and equipment and advising on research and development.
- Collaborate on key projects that enhance efficiency and deliver a high-quality service to our stakeholders.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Relevant logistics qualifications or demonstrable experience in delivering exceptional support services in a high-volume environment.
- A Health & Safety qualification (IOSH) and a Cat C licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems with an eye for detail.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of national best practices and legal requirements surrounding fleet, equipment, and engagement
