Description
Check and verify expenses reported by vendors in SAP. Prepare monthly report for A4 expenses. Verify and process Land invoices timely. Create MPO (manual PO) for payment. Perform daily operations related to all container activities, ensuring timely and accurate container movement. Implement cost-saving strategies to optimize Logistics activities and reduce expenses. Logistics and Container Control: Oversee general logistics and container control processes. Responsible for container fleet reporting and maintaining accurate records. Ensure the dates of container availability are regularly updated in the system to activate detention invoicing. This requires meticulous attention to detail and strong data management skills. Provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders. This includes promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining open lines of communication. Container Evacuation: Ensure the surplus empty containers are evacuated from Australia to fulfill vessel allocation, without compromising the equipment needed to support export bookings. Process Improvement: Continually seek opportunities for process improvement, departmental efficiencies, and productivity increases. This includes exploring options for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), automation, and other electronic means. Upload rates in SAP. Maintain contract filing in SAP. Update new/revised rates into SAP Monitor EDI transmission Handle Ad-hoc projects assigned by Manager. Perform additional tasks assigned by Manager, including task related to FCL Land Transport, MNR or any new responsibilities under Department function. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Data Science or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in equipment control, container operations, or shipping/logistics. Familiarity with container shipping processes, depot operations, and inland transport is preferred. Strong understanding of container types, specifications, and handling procedures. Knowledge of equipment tracking systems, SAP or shipping line systems. Experience with inventory control, container positioning, and equipment forecasting Ability to monitor and optimize container utilization and turnaround time. Experience in coordinating empty container repositioning and minimizing detention/demurrage costs. Understanding of land transport, depot operations, and MNR (maintenance & repair) processes is an advantage. Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills. Proactive mindset with the ability to handle ad-hoc operational challenges. Willingness to work flexible hours if required by operations
